From Saure Village in Wewak, East Sepik Province Moses Sogoromo served Air Niugini as a licenced aircraft maintenance engineer (LAME) for 41 years.
He was a pioneer in this field.
Air Niugini officially farewelled him last Friday, 30th April 2021.
He was farewelled by his colleagues in the Engineering Department with food and presentation of gift by General Manager- Engineering and Maintenance, Benedict Oraka as a token of appreciation for his contribution.
Oraka on behalf of Air Niugini, thanked Sogoromo for his service to the national airline and extended the company’s sincere appreciation for the 41 years of contribution.
Sogoromo’s parting words to the young engineers is to remain committed, dedicated, humble and loyal to Air Niugini, adding that it’s a tough career, however it is quite rewarding and satisfying to be able to get the aircraft flying.
