Reigning National Soccer League champion Lae City FC has recruited Nigerian international Jibola Afonja for their 2021 campaign.
He was formerly based in Fiji playing with Suva FC.
Coach Bob Morris has told Post Courier the club started training yesterday with their new recruits.
“We still maintain bulk of the core team that won the grand final last season,” Morris said.
He said he was not sure whether the Ecuadorians Abdias Aguirre and Icaza Gustine would join the Lae Biscuit Company owned franchise for the 2021 season.
