The Motu Koita Rugby League championship has a designated competition venue for next year-it’s the redeveloped world class Sir Hubert Murray Stadium.
NCD Governor Powes Parkop through NCDC would also support the competition with a sponsorship of K100,000-an increase of K50,000.
Governor Parkop made the announcement in front of the league’s management, representatives of the Southern Confederate of PNG rugby football league and Moresby South RFL, team managers and supporters last Sunday during the grand final at Sir John Guise Stadium.
Mr Parkop urged the management include female teams as well.
He said the stadium would be opened for use before the end of this year.
