Police officer killed in Port Moresby

A police officer has died after being allegedly attacked by Papua New Guinea Defence Force soldiers at ATS.
There are footages on social media that a number of police vehicles in Port Moresby headed to ATS this afternoon.
FM 100 news later reported this afternoon Acting Deputy Police Commissioner Operations Donald Yamasombi confirming the death of Commander for Zone Three, Senior Inspector Andrew Tovere who died at the Port Moresby General Hospital.
He said late Tovere was responding to reports of sale of alcohol by a black market at the ATS settlement when he was attacked by off duty soldiers earlier today.
FM 100 reports Yamasombi said police and military police have identified the military personnel involved and arrest would be effected.
