Sandaun Students at UPNG challenged to have dreams, have a purpose, be disciplined and find greatness in oneself to influence change

We can find inspiration from the story of Joseph in the Bible

The Sandaun Students Association at the University of Papua New Guinea hosted an orientation and introduction to fellow students at a staff residence on Sunday.

There are about 300 students at the university but 67 turned up at the occasion.

It also coincided with the election of new office bearers comprising the president, vice presidents male and female, secretary and treasurer.

The office of the Governor supported the occasion with cake and drinks and first secretary Adam Wangu also graced the occasion.

The association invited petroleum engineer Erick Kowa who had now been promoted to be a non-executive director at Twinza Oil company to share some inspiring talks.

Kowa emphasised that  students must find their purpose and aim for success.

He shared experiences about himself being a student  president of the PNG Students Society at the University of Queensland, Australia and how building strategic relationships can help raise funds for the association and later in professional life becomes handy in networking.
