Papua New Guinea has recorded10,915 people infected with COVID-19 and 107 people have died to date.
Manning was infected by COVID-19 and recovered and stressed that COVID-19 was real.
He has urged schools and institutions throughout the country to strictly comply with measures in the New Normal or “Niupela Pasin”.
Manning reminded teachers in respective schools and institutions throughout the country to enforce compliance procedures under the New Normal.
“It is the responsibility of respective schools and tertiary institutions to ensure both their staff and students strictly comply with measures in the New Normal. They must ensure that both students and staff wear masks at all times. Hand sanitizers or water and soap must be made available for the students. I also call on schools and institutions to invest in temperature guns to get the temperature readings of every student before they enter the school premises,” he said.
